Seenergi’s research has resulted in a new service, GenoCellulesSeenergi’s research has resulted in a new service, GenoCellules®, to pilot cell counts for each cow from a single tankmilk sample.This technology is revolutionary because it allows to accuratelydetermine the cell counts of cows from the DNAanalysis of a sample of milk mixture. It is based on the correspondencebetween the genotype (= genetic map) of theanimals and the presence of their DNA in the sample.
- The DNA of each cow is unique.
- The milk cells contain DNA.
